Private Big Bike Recovery & Men's Health Check in Makati
Ride Longer. Recover Faster. Stay Road-Ready.
Long rides shouldn't leave your back, hips or shoulders wrecked. The Big Bike Body Maintenance Check is a discreet, by-appointment session to screen the aches riding causes — and put together a recovery plan. Maintenance for the rider, not just the bike.
Built for long-distance riders, weekend riders and daily commuters — big bikes, scooters and everything in between.
Maintenance for the rider, not just the bike.
Where does riding hurt?
Hours in the saddle, road vibration and riding posture take a real toll. These are the complaints we see most — all of them screenable, most of them treatable.
Lower-back pain
The classic after a long run — from sustained posture and load through the spine.
Shoulder & neck stiffness
Tension that lingers for days after a ride, from holding position and helmet weight.
Wrist & elbow strain
Throttle hand and clutch fatigue, aggravated by vibration and bar position.
Hip & groin discomfort
Tightness and pressure from the riding position over long distances.
Numbness from long rides
Hands or seat going numb on the highway — usually pressure, sometimes worth a check.
Fatigue & slow recovery
Feeling drained for days after weekend rides, and bouncing back slower than you used to.
The Big Bike Body Maintenance Check
A short, practical, judgment-free session focused on the body first. If something needs more, we'll talk options — calmly and privately.
10–15 minutesBy appointment100% confidential
What's included
One straightforward session, designed around riders.
- 10-minute rider pain screen — back, neck, shoulder, wrist, hip.
- Posture & mobility check for your riding position.
- Recovery consult — a simple plan to feel better faster.
- Shockwave / PEMF / acupuncture recommendation if appropriate.
- Optional, private men's wellness discussion — circulation, energy, preventive check.
How we help you bounce back
If the screen points to something worth treating, these are the tools we use — and we'll only recommend what actually fits.
Shockwave therapy
Acoustic pressure waves into a tendon or a tight muscle that has stopped repairing itself. Best evidence of the three, and best for the specific rider complaints below.
PEMF therapy
Pulsed electromagnetic field sessions to support recovery, circulation and inflammation. Delivered in the same session as shockwave, not billed separately.
Acupuncture recovery
An optional recovery session for tension, stiffness and post-ride fatigue.
What shockwave is actually good for, rider by rider
The complaints riders arrive with are not equally treatable, and the published trials say so plainly. Where the evidence is thin we would rather tell you before you pay than after.
- Shoulder and neck stiffness after a long run — the strongest case of the lot. Shockwave has its best evidence in calcific tendinitis of the rotator cuff, and separately in the trigger points that build in the neck and upper trapezius from holding position under helmet weight.
- Lower-back pain — supported, but as an addition to a mobility and loading plan rather than a replacement for one. Riders who do only the sessions and none of the movement work tend to be back within the year.
- Throttle-hand and elbow strain — tennis elbow responds, though more slowly than a steroid injection would; the trials show it catching up and passing by about three months.
- Heel pain when you get off the bike — plantar fasciitis has good evidence, particularly when it has been there more than six months.
- Numbness in the hands or the seat — shockwave is the wrong tool. That is nerve and pressure, not a stalled tendon, and it is fixed by position, bar and seat changes, or by finding out what is compressing the nerve. See the section below on when numbness is worth a proper look.
The full condition-by-condition breakdown, including the two conditions where the evidence is weakest, is on our pain & recovery page.
Confidential men's wellness — when you're ready
Many riders also use the visit to quietly check the men's-health side: circulation, energy, stamina and a preventive review. It's entirely optional, never pushed, and always private — one patient at a time.
When numbness after riding is not just “normal”
A bit of tingling that clears soon after you stop is common and usually about pressure and position. But it's worth getting checked if you notice:
- Numbness that lingers long after the ride ends
- Weakness, pins-and-needles or loss of grip that keeps coming back
- Numbness paired with pain, urinary changes or other symptoms
- Anything that's getting worse over time
Most causes are simple and manageable — getting it looked at early is the sensible move, not an overreaction.
Two ways to start
No heavy discounting — just honest value. Think of it as scheduled maintenance for the rider.
Big Bike Recovery Session
Introductory consultation plus recovery therapy in one visit. Best if you already feel the aches and want to act on them.
Big Bike Health Check
Credited straight back against the procedure if you book the same day. The low-commitment way to find out where you stand — and the same ₱500 we charge anyone else, because there is no rider surcharge.
These are our published prices, not estimates: ₱2,500 per treated area covers shockwave and PEMF in the same session plus the assessment, and ₱500 is the assessment on its own, credited back if you book the same day. Nothing is added afterwards. See all prices.
